Fund-A-Need: Surfing Into a Surplus

Fund-a-Need from SWS Board of Trustees
As we look ahead to next year, we stand at a threshold filled with possibility. With the steady work of many hearts and hands, we have been tending the garden of renewal—growing enrollment toward its historic strength, deepening retention, and restoring our financial footing. We are currently trailing our annual giving goal by roughly $30,000 for the 2025/2026 school year, and we are relying on our school community to give generously during our spring auction. If our enrollment goals are met in the 2026/2027 school year, we anticipate a modest surplus—an opportunity to replenish reserves, tend to deferred maintenance, and further strengthen the fiscal foundation of our school. As with all independent schools, our budget is closely tied to enrollment, and final numbers will help determine where we land. That is why tonight matters so much. Our Fund-A-Need goal is $50,000. Reaching this goal ensures that, regardless of where enrollment settles, we move into next year with confidence, stability, and momentum. We invite you to help us catch this wave and give generously - helping us to Surf into a Surplus! By participating in the event, you are investing in a foundation that does more than just stay afloat—it soars.
